Commercial Work

Before we were residential and renovation experts, our founder Nick Leko had an extensive commercial architect career with world leading Perkins Eastman Architects in New York City and then Craig Crag and Moller in NZ shortly after they designed Sky City Tower. 



Our own commercial work has included Manea Footprints of Kupe. A 75-minute multisensory journey that combines guided storytelling with art, taonga (cultural treasures), film, performance, digital interaction, and the stunning beauty of Hokianga’s natural surroundings. The project was designed from our Wellington office and was supported during its build by frequent on-site project meetings in the Far North NZ.


We also designed the new Royal Thai Embassy in Thorndon Wellington. The building incorporates large banquet areas, a commercial kitchen and four apartments for staff. Several years later Leko Architects was commissioned to fully renovate the Ambassadors character residence in Karori Wellington.
